Q1:
What does Global Licensing Partners do?
Global Licensing Partners (GLP) is an Independent Licensing Agent organized to support new product development and independent inventors. GLP introduces new inventions to industry, and offers specialized assistance with product introductions and licensing negotiations for the possible licensing of new products to corporations.

Q2:

Licensing is basically the transference of an inventors patent rights to a third party who in turn manufactures and/or distributes said patented product and pays the patent owner a royalty for those acquired rights.

Q3:
How do I contact Global Licensing Partners?
You can contact Global Licensing Partners by telephone, email, or standard mail. For contact information, please see our contact page.
Q4:
Do I need a patent to work with Global Licensing Partners?
GLP only accepts clients who can demonstrate verifiable U.S. or international patent protection or patent pending status.
Q5:
Will you help me get a patent?
GLP is not a patent agent or patent assistance company. If you have an idea, and would like to explore getting a patent for it, we may be able to refer you to one of our affiliate patent assistance companies.
Q6:
How do I know that my idea will not be stolen by Global Licensing Partners?
Here at GLP, we are just as concerned about your idea as you are. If we have acquired your file from one of our approved affiliates, you can be assured that a confidentiality agreement has already been signed with them. If you come to us directly, then one of the first documents we will prepare between us is a confidentiality agreement which would allow you to record your claim of ownership over your idea. Only when that agreement is signed between us will we discuss the idea with you. GLP considers confidentiality a priority when dealing with our clients.

Q7:
How do I know that a manufacturer coming to your site will not steal my idea?
Your patent or patent pending status will always be a first line of defense. Besides that, before manufacturers can view the intricate details of your product, they must first register for our site, and sign off on a confidentiality agreement allowing them to view those details.
Q8:
How much do your services cost?
If we have received your information from one of our affiliate companies, then our services are provided on a contingency fee basis, which means there are no up-front fees to these inventors.
Q9:
Does GLP make prototypes of all of their product ideas?
Physical prototypes have become increasingly less necessary with todays technology. They are usually quite costly, and may have to be redone numerous times to get an accurately working model. GLP instead creates 3-D computer animated graphic depictions of your product, and post these on our Virtual Product Showcase. This virtual prototype will help to give an accurate rendition of your idea.

Q10:
Is my idea represented at tradeshows? How?
Yes, GLP attends between 6 and 8 tradeshows a year, whereby our representatives meet and interact with various members of the manufacturing community to make networking connections and potentially establish business relationships.
Q11:
Where can I get tradeshow information?
We have a section on our site dedicated to tradeshows.
Q12:
If a manufacturer is interested in my idea, how will I know?
Our clients will be regularly updated as to the goings on of their individual projects. If a manufacturer contacts us about a specific product and shows interest, that inventor will be notified as quickly as possible.
Q13:
Do a lot of inventions make it to market?
While it is true that there are many new products introduced into the marketplace each year, it must be noted that of all the inventions pursued each year, only a small percentage of them make it to market.
Q14:
How soon can I expect to get my product licensed and on the market?
The licensing and/or selling of any new invention, idea or concept involve a great deal of risk. Global Licensing Partners cannot guarantee that any invention being represented will be licensed, sold, or generate monetary gains to any inventor.
